MIDIPLUS Control Centrol Policy Update

MIDIPLUS Control Center

Privacy Policy

Thank you for using the mobile application (the "App") provided by MIDIPLUS Co., Ltd. ("MIDIPLUS," "we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring data security. This Privacy Policy explains how our App handles device permissions, technical data, and security measures in an account-free environment.

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information Collection and Device Permissions

The App does not require account registration or login. We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, government ID numbers, or email address.

To facilitate hardware connection, control, and firmware management, the App may request access to the following permissions and information:

  • Bluetooth & Nearby Devices Permissions: Used to scan, pair, connect to, and manage compatible MIDIPLUS hardware devices, as well as to transmit control signals, parameters, and preset data.
  • Location Permission (Legacy Android Versions Only): On certain older versions of Android, Bluetooth scanning is categorized under Location Services by the operating system. The App uses this permission solely to discover nearby MIDIPLUS Bluetooth devices. We do not track, record, collect, or transmit your physical geographic location.
  • Device & Hardware Information: When connected to hardware, the App may retrieve the model name, firmware version, and connection status to ensure functionality and provide firmware update support.
  • Anonymous Technical & Diagnostic Data: Includes operating system version, mobile device model, crash logs, and performance metrics. All diagnostic data is anonymized and cannot be used to identify any individual user.

2. Purpose of Data Processing

We process technical data and utilize requested permissions solely for the following purposes:

  • Establishing and maintaining reliable communication between the App and MIDIPLUS hardware.
  • Configuring device settings, MIDI/audio control mapping, and executing firmware updates.
  • Monitoring app stability, troubleshooting software issues, and optimizing performance.
  • Responding to technical support inquiries or customer service requests initiated by you.

3. Third-Party Services and SDKs

The App may integrate third-party developer kits or infrastructure services (e.g., Google Play Services, Firebase Crashlytics) to monitor crash reports and app stability. These third parties collect only anonymized technical information necessary to provide their services, subject to their respective privacy policies.

We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade any user information to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

4. Data Security and Local Storage

  • Local Storage: Your custom parameters, device presets, and preferences are stored locally on your mobile device.
  • Security Measures: We employ standard technical safeguards and administrative procedures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction of technical data.

5. User Rights and Controls

Because the App does not use user accounts, we do not store personal profiles on our servers. If you have contacted our customer support and provided communication information, you may request to access, update, or delete that support record at any time. You can also revoke Bluetooth or other permissions at any time via your device settings, or clear all locally stored data by uninstalling the App.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is designed as a utility tool for hardware control and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age limit under local law).

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect functional updates or legal compliance requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
